This privacy policy covers the OpenAleph marketing website at https://www.openaleph.io. The data controller is SEVEN, the company behind OpenAleph. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@byseven.co.

This policy applies to the marketing website only. The OpenAleph application itself is governed by the agreements and privacy documentation provided to customers.

Contact form: if you write to us through the contact form, you provide your name, work email, an optional company name and your message. Your submission is delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery provider that acts as a processor under our instructions, and we use it solely to respond to your enquiry.

Demo bookings: if you book a demo, the details you enter (such as your name and email) are used to schedule and hold that meeting.

Analytics: with your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site — page views, referrers, heatmaps and session replays (how pages are scrolled and clicked). Clarity is operated by Microsoft, which processes this data on our behalf, including in the United States under the GDPR transfer safeguards Microsoft provides (EU Standard Contractual Clauses / EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). Analytics never runs unless you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.

Server logs: our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.

This website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

If you consent to analytics in the cookie banner, Microsoft Clarity sets first-party analytics cookies (such as "_clck" and "_clsk") to recognise your browser and stitch a browsing session together. If you decline — or simply ignore the banner — these cookies are never set and no analytics runs. Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage (a single value named "oa-consent") and can be changed at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.

If you use the light/dark theme toggle, your preference is saved in your browser's local storage (a single value named "oa-theme"). It contains no personal data, never leaves your browser, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

We process contact and demo enquiries on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics runs only on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time as easily as you gave it. Site security rests on our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, then delete it unless a business relationship or a legal obligation requires keeping it longer.

Analytics data is retained by Microsoft Clarity for limited periods set by Microsoft: individual session recordings for around 30 days, aggregated statistics for up to 13 months.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
