Privacy Policy
How this website handles your data. Last updated 28 July 2026.
1. Who we are
This privacy policy covers the OpenAleph marketing website at https://www.openaleph.io. The data controller is SEVEN, the company behind OpenAleph. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@openaleph.org.
This policy applies to the marketing website only. The OpenAleph application itself is governed by the agreements and privacy documentation provided to customers.
2. What we collect and why
Contact form: if you write to us through the contact form, you provide your name, work email, an optional company name and your message. Your submission is delivered to us by email through Resend, an email delivery provider that acts as a processor under our instructions, and we use it solely to respond to your enquiry.
Demo bookings: if you book a demo, the details you enter (such as your name and email) are used to schedule and hold that meeting.
Analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (page views, referrers, country-level location, device type). It is cookieless and does not track you across other sites; we see aggregated statistics, not a profile of you.
Server logs: our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
3. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
If you use the light/dark theme toggle, your preference is saved in your browser's local storage (a single value named "oa-theme"). It contains no personal data, never leaves your browser, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
4. Legal basis
We process contact and demo enquiries on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Aggregate analytics and site security rest on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Retention
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, then delete it unless a business relationship or a legal obligation requires keeping it longer.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@openaleph.org — we will respond within the statutory time limit.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website evolves. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page.
