Certificates

Some trainings award a certificate of completion. Once it has been issued to you, you receive it by email and can open or download it from the Academy at any time.

When do you get a certificate?

A certificate is issued in one of two ways, depending on how the organisation configured the training:

• Automatically, as soon as every module of the training is acquired (see Module evaluations).
• Manually, when someone in the organisation sends it to you.

Not every training awards a certificate. If a completed training shows Review instead of Download certificate, no certificate has been issued to you for it.

The certificate email

When your certificate is issued, you receive an email with the subject "🎓 Your certificate for " (in French: "🎓 Votre certificat pour "). It congratulates you, names the training and the issuing organisation, and the View my certificate button opens the public verification page of your certificate.

Open or download your certificate from the Academy

1. Go to My learning.
2. On the completed training's card, click Download certificate. Use the Completed tab to find it quickly.
3. In the Certificate language window, choose English or Français.
4. Click one of the two buttons:
   • Open certificate: opens the certificate's public verification page in a new browser tab, in the chosen language.
   • Download certificate: downloads the certificate as a PDF in the chosen language.

Share your certificate

The verification page opened by Open certificate (or by View my certificate in the email) has a public link: anyone with the link can check that the certificate is genuine, without an OpenAleph account. You can share this link with clients, employers or recruiters.

The page shows the certificate itself (Certificate of completion, the training title, Awarded to with your name, Issued by with the signatory's name and role, Issued on (and Valid until if it expires), the Certificate ID and a Scan to verify QR code) and two buttons:

• Verification link: copies the public link of the page, ready to paste.
• Download: downloads the certificate as a PDF.

Validity

A certificate can have an expiry date, set by the organisation. The organisation sees the status of each certificate (Active, Expiring soon, Expired). If a certificate is cancelled by the organisation, it no longer appears in your Academy.

Where to see how many certificates you have

Your Academy profile shows the number of certificates earned in the workspace (Certificates) and the date of the latest one.

Common questions

I completed the training but have no certificate.

Either the training doesn't award certificates, or certificates are sent manually by the organisation. Contact them.

My name on the certificate is wrong.

The certificate uses the name the organisation registered for you in their workspace. Ask them to correct it.

Can I get the certificate in another language?

Certificates can be opened and downloaded in English or French. Choose the language in the Certificate language window each time.
