Mobile app
Install the OpenAleph app on iOS or Android, log in, use the Home, Apps and Profile tabs, get push notifications and open email links in the app.
The OpenAleph mobile app lets you do your everyday tasks from your phone: follow trainings, fill in interviews and reviews, and update your goals. Company administration and content creation (campaigns, templates, Learn content, settings) stay on the web app.
Install the app
The app is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store and for Android on Google Play. Search for OpenAleph, or tap an OpenAleph email link on your phone: the page that opens offers Télécharger sur l’App Store and Télécharger sur Google Play buttons.
You use the same account and password as on the web.
- Open the app. On the Log in screen, type your work email and tap Continue.
- Type your password and tap Sign in. To correct your email, tap Change next to it.
Or tap Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft to sign in with your work Google or Microsoft account (same email address as your OpenAleph account).
| Situation | What the app shows |
|---|---|
| First login (no password yet) | Check your inbox: an email with your password was sent. Tap Send again if needed (after a short countdown). |
| Unknown or deactivated email | Email not found: "No account was found for this email address." Tap Back to sign in and check the address. |
| Wrong password | "Invalid email or password". |
| Forgotten password | Tap Forgot password? (under "Need help?"), enter your email and tap Send reset link. Open the email on your phone and tap the button: the app opens on Set a new password. Choose a password (at least 8 characters) and tap Set password. |
See Log in to OpenAleph for the details of first login and password emails, which are the same on web and mobile.
The tabs
The app has a tab bar at the bottom of the screen.
Home
The Home tab mirrors the web home page:
- Assigned to me: Next up! (interviews and trainings to do), your Goals or Key Results & Targets, and your Favorites (Learn modules and playlists).
- Team Dashboard (managers and above): My Team, Current Actions and Team Targets.
Pull down to refresh.
Apps
The Apps tab lists the modules of your company that are available on mobile. Tap one to open it:
| App | What you can do on mobile |
|---|---|
| Interviews | See My interviews and, for managers, My team interviews. Start, continue and submit your interviews and cross reviews, answer surveys (or decline them with Decline survey), view answers and the history of an interview, and manage the reviewers of a feedback when you are asked to. |
| Learn | My learning (To do and Completed) and the Catalog (Modules and Playlists) with search, filters and favorites. Follow trainings and modules, take evaluations (quiz, self-assessment, face-to-face), read and post comments, listen to a module's audio summary, change the text size or the content language. |
| Goals | My Goals and, for managers, Team Goals. Open a goal, update its current value with Update current value, add a comment and see its last events. |
| Skills | Your skills reviews: start or continue a review, see answers and submit several ready reviews at once with Submit all. |
Work Time, OKRs, Client survey and workforce planning (SWP) are not available on mobile: use the web app for them. The list only shows modules your company uses.
Note: if an action shows Coming soon, it is not available on mobile yet. Do it from the web app.
Profile and settings
The Profile tab shows your photo and name, and:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Your photo | Tap it to Change photo (from your phone's library) or Remove photo. |
| Profile details | Your profile information, read-only (General information and your company's other sections). To change information, use the web app or ask your admin. |
| My library | The Learn Modules and Playlists you marked as favorites. |
| Language | Switch between English and French. The choice is saved to your account, so it also applies to the web app and your emails. |
| Appearance | Light, Dark or System theme. |
| Change password | Set a new password (at least 8 characters, confirmed twice), then tap Save. |
| Face ID, Touch ID, Fingerprint or Biometric unlock | Shown if your phone supports it. When enabled, the app asks for your face or fingerprint (Unlock OpenAleph) when you open it. |
| Help & Support | Send a message to the OpenAleph team. |
| Sign out | Logs you out of the app after confirmation. |
The app version is shown at the bottom of the tab. Give it to support if you report a problem.
Push notifications
The first time you log in, the app asks for permission to send notifications. If you allow it, you receive push notifications for key events, for example an interview or a review to fill in, a reminder, a training invitation, a new goal or a leave request update. Tapping a notification opens the matching screen in the app.
To stop them, turn off notifications for OpenAleph in your phone's settings. You keep receiving the emails.
Note: depending on your app version, a Notifications tab may also list your recent notifications, with Mark all read.
Links from emails
When you tap a button in an OpenAleph email on your phone:
- if the app is installed, it opens directly on the right screen (the interview, the training, the goal...);
- otherwise a page offers to open the app (Ouvrir l’application), install it, or continue in the browser (Continuer dans le navigateur).
If you are not logged in yet, log in first: the app then takes you to the requested screen.
Common questions
I don't see a module in the Apps tab.
Either your company doesn't use it, or it isn't available on mobile (Work Time, OKRs, Client survey and SWP). Use the web app.
I don't receive push notifications.
Check that notifications are allowed for OpenAleph in your phone's settings and that you are logged in. Notifications are linked to the account you are logged in with: if you log out, you stop receiving them on that phone.
Can I use the Academy on mobile?
The mobile app is designed for your company's workspace. External learners follow their Academy trainings in a web browser. See Academy.
I reset my password and the app logged me out.
That's expected: requesting a password reset logs you out on every device. Log in again with the new password.
Can I use Aleph AI on mobile?
No, the Aleph AI panels are only in the web app. See Aleph AI assistant.
