Who can do thisManager creatorScoped adminAdminSuper admin

My content is the workspace of content creators. It lists what you created, lets you create new content and shows how your modules perform with learners.

Before you start

Permissions: My content is available to Manager creators, Scoped admins, Admins and Super admins (see Roles and access levels). Employees and Managers don't see it, and opening its address shows Restricted Access. It lists your own content: even as an admin, you only see the modules, playlists, trainings and sessions you created here. The full company catalog is in Learn › Catalog and all trainings in Learn › Trainings.

Go to Learn › My content. The page is titled My content ("Manage your content, get insights into your modules and trainings, and track learner feedback.").

Your content overview

The card Your content overview counts your Modules, Playlists, Trainings and Training sessions. See Analytics scrolls to the analytics section at the bottom of the page.

The content list

Four tabs, each with Search and filters:

Tab Columns Filters Clicking a row opens
Modules Title, Status (Published or Draft), Last update, Views, Reactions, Theme Date published, Status, Duration, Theme The module editor
Playlists Title, Modules, Created at, Theme Date created, Duration, Theme The playlist page
Trainings Title, Content (sections, modules), Status, Training sessions (sessions and participants), Last update Last update, Status, Duration The training management page
Training sessions Title (with the training name), Duration, Completion (learners who completed / all learners), Start date, Deadline Completion, Start date, Deadline The session page

A module is Draft until you publish it for the first time. A published module that you are editing stays Published for learners: your changes live in a draft until you click Update.

Row actions

Each row has a menu:

  • Modules: Copy link, Duplicate module, Add to playlist, Delete module.
  • Playlists: Update playlist, Delete playlist.
  • Trainings: Edit training, Launch new training session, Duplicate training, Delete training.
  • Training sessions: Edit training session, Delete training session.

Create content

  1. Click Create.
  2. In Create new content ("Choose the type of content you want to create:"), select:
    • Module: "A Module is the smallest and core learning unit in OpenAleph Learn." See Create a module.
    • Playlist: "A Playlist is a curated list of Modules." See Playlists.
    • Training: "A Training is a structured learning content." See Create a training.
  3. Click Continue.

Deleted items

Deleted modules, playlists and trainings are kept for 30 days before being permanently deleted.

  1. Open the menu (three dots) next to Create and choose View deleted items. Deleted trainings can also be found from Learn › Trainings (menu next to New training › View deleted items).
  2. Choose the type of item, search if needed.
  3. For each item: Restore puts it back where it was (a restored module is published again), Delete permanently removes it for good after confirmation ("This is a permanent action.").

Important: A deleted module is also removed from playlists and trainings. Restoring it doesn't add it back to those playlists and trainings: you have to add it again.

Content Performance Analytics

At the bottom of the page, Content Performance Analytics ("Key engagement insights — comparing views, acquisitions, and total reactions on your published content.") shows:

  • A Module selector (All Modules or one module) and a Date range: Last 30 Days, Last 3 Months, Last 6 Months, Last 12 Months.
  • Views vs Acquisitions: a chart of how many times your modules were viewed and acquired over time. A view counts when someone stays on the module long enough to read part of it.
  • Total Reactions: the breakdown of reactions: Engaging course, Useful in my work, A bit boring, Difficult to understand, Needs an update.

Use it to spot modules that are opened but rarely acquired (the evaluation may be too hard) or flagged Needs an update.

Common questions

I'm an admin but My content doesn't show a colleague's modules.

It's by design: My content only lists what you created. Find other modules in the Catalog, where admins can edit or delete them.

Where are the learners' written comments?

On the module itself, in the comments panel (messages written with a reaction appear there too). You also receive an email for each new comment posted in the panel.

Can I recover a module deleted more than 30 days ago?

No. After 30 days, deleted items are permanently removed.
