Playlists
Follow a playlist of modules, and for creators create a playlist, add, reorder and remove modules, edit, share and delete it.
A playlist is an ordered selection of modules published in the catalog, for example "Onboarding essentials" or "Managing remotely". Anyone can read a playlist; nobody is assigned to it, it has no deadline and its modules show no evaluation. To assign learning to people with evaluations, tracking and deadlines, use a training instead.
Follow a playlist
- Open a playlist from Learn › Catalog (block Playlists or Featured Playlist), from My Learning › Favorite playlists, or from a shared link.
- The playlist page shows its title, total Duration, description, the themes of its modules and, under Content, the list of its modules with their duration and themes.
- Click a module to read it (see Follow a module). The back arrow returns to the playlist.
Top bar actions: Favorite (heart), copy the link, and for the creator or an admin, edit (pencil) and a menu with Delete playlist.
Create a playlist
- Go to Learn › My content, click Create, select Playlist ("A Playlist is a curated list of Modules.") and click Continue. On the Playlists tab you can also use Create new playlist.
- In Create new playlist, fill in Playlist title (required) and Description, then click Save.
- The playlist page opens ("All modules in playlist will show up here."). Click Add modules, tick modules in the Add module picker (search, Filter by Themes) and click Continue. A message confirms "Modules successfully added to playlist."
The playlist is published in the catalog as soon as it is created. Only published modules can be added.
You can also add a module to playlists from a module card: Add to playlist (see Browse the catalog).
Manage a playlist
As the playlist creator (or an admin):
- Reorder modules: drag and drop modules in the Content list. The new order is saved automatically ("Saved").
- Remove a module: open the module's menu (three dots) and choose Remove module from playlist, then confirm. The module itself isn't deleted; you can add it back later.
- Edit title and description: click the pencil in the top bar (or Update playlist on the card), change the fields in Edit playlist and click Save.
- Edit a module: module menu › Edit module (only for modules you can edit).
- Delete the playlist: top bar menu (three dots) › Delete playlist, then Delete. "Deleted playlists are stored for 30 days. After this period, they will be permanently deleted." The modules are not deleted. Restore it from My content › View deleted items.
Turn a playlist into a training, or the reverse
- In the training editor, Import playlist copies the modules of one or more playlists into new sections (one section per playlist). Modules already in the training aren't added twice. See Create a training.
- In a training, a section can be exported with Export as a playlist, which publishes its modules as a new playlist in the catalog.
Common questions
Is my progress tracked in a playlist?
No. A playlist has no evaluation, completion status, deadline or certificate: modules are acquired in trainings. Use a training to have people evaluated and tracked.
I can't reorder or remove modules.
Only the playlist creator and admins can modify a playlist.
A module disappeared from my playlist.
The module was deleted by its creator or an admin. Deleted modules are removed from every playlist.
