Follow a training
How to follow a training in the Academy learning studio: sections and modules, navigation, module languages, audio version, reactions, comments and feedback.
When you click Start, Resume or Review on a training card, the training opens full screen in the learning studio. This is where you read the modules, move from one module to the next and reach each module's evaluation.
Opening a training
- Go to My learning and click Start, Resume or Review on a training card.
- A Training introduction window opens with the training's cover, title, description, author (By
), number of sections, number of modules and total duration. - Click Continue to close it and start learning.
The studio automatically selects the first module that is in progress, otherwise the first module not started, otherwise the first module of the training.
To leave the studio, click the X (Close learning studio) at the top right. You return to My learning.
Layout of the studio
Left panel: training content
- Training summary: title, number of sections and modules, total duration, Deadline:
(or None) and your progress. - Timeline: the training's sections (Section 1:
, Section 2: ...), each with a progress ring, and the modules inside each section. Each module row shows its title, duration and evaluation type (Quiz, Self-assessment or Face to Face). Acquired modules are marked as completed; the current module is highlighted. - Click any module in the timeline to open it. You can open modules in any order.
Right panel: the module
- Module header: cover, title, description, author (By
), publication date and the reactions left by learners (for example 😍 🤓 and a count). Click the reactions to see the detail (View reactions); No reaction is shown when there is none yet. - Content: the module's text, images, videos and other embedded media. If the module is empty, you see This module has no content yet.
- Evaluation card at the end of the content (see Module evaluations).
- Feedback card (What did you think of this module?) with Add comment and Share your feedback.
Moving between modules
- Use Previous module and Next module at the top right (at the bottom of the screen on mobile).
- When you move from the last module of a section to the first module of the next one, a Section complete! window announces the next section (Up next: Section N:
, "Moving on to ", with its number of modules and duration). Click Continue.
On a phone or small tablet
The two panels are shown one at a time. Use the List / Content switch under the training title to go from the timeline to the module and back. Selecting a module in List automatically shows its Content.
Module options
Change the module language
If the module is available in several languages, a language button (translation icon, Change module language) appears in the module header. Choose a language: the content reloads in that language. Each module opens by default in its original language.
Listen to the audio version
If the module has an audio summary, a headphones button (Play audio version) appears in the module header. Click it to open the audio player at the bottom of the module, then use Play audio / Pause audio, Back 15 seconds, Forward 15 seconds and the progress bar. Close it with Close audio player.
Comments
Comments are shared with the other learners of the module.
- At the end of the module, click Add comment.
- The Comments (N) window ("Comments left by learners on this module.") lists the comments, with author and date. If there are none yet, it shows No comments yet. Be the first to add one.
- Type your message in the Add a comment field at the bottom and click the send button (Send comment).
- To remove one of your own comments, click the delete icon next to it (Delete comment). You can only delete your own comments.
Share your feedback
- At the end of the module, click Share your feedback. The window explains that your impressions and suggestions help the trainers improve each module.
- Pick the impression that best matches your experience:
| Reaction | Label |
|---|---|
| 😍 | Engaging course |
| 🤓 | Useful in my work |
| 😐 | A bit boring |
| 😵💫 | Difficult to understand |
| 👀 | Needs an update |
- Optionally add a message in Want to add something? (400 characters max, a counter shows 0/400). The message is also posted as a comment on the module, visible to other learners.
- Click Submit feedback.
You can give one reaction per module. To change it, open Share your feedback again, choose another reaction and click Update feedback. Your reaction is added to the counts shown in the module header, and the training's authors can see it.
Common questions
Does reading a module mark it as completed?
No. A module is acquired when its evaluation is validated. Your progress and the training status are based on acquired modules.
I get "Training not found".
The training may have been removed or unpublished, or you are no longer enrolled in it. Click Back to my learning and contact the organisation if needed.
I don't see the language or audio buttons.
They only appear when the module actually has several languages or an audio version.
Can other learners see my comments?
Yes, comments are visible to everyone following the module. Reactions are shown as counts by type.
