Home page and navigation
The OpenAleph home page (Assigned to me, Team Dashboard, Next up!, pinned information), the side menu, the top bar and the Help & Support button.
After logging in you land on the Home page. It gathers what needs your attention across all modules. This page describes the home page sections, the left-hand menu and the top bar that stay visible on every page.
The screen layout

The home page
The page opens with Hello, [your first name] and, if your admin has set one, your company's banner image. Below are one or two tabs:

Team Dashboard

Show or hide home sections
You can choose which sections appear on each tab. Your choice is saved to your account and kept the next time you log in.
- On the home page, open the tab you want to customise (Assigned to me or Team Dashboard).
- Click the grid icon on the right, under the tabs (tooltip View/hide sections).
- Click a section name to hide it (closed-eye icon) or show it again (open-eye icon). For example, on Team Dashboard the list contains My team, Current team actions and Team goals.
You can also hide a section directly from its own menu with Hide section. Sections with a See all link open the full list in the related module.
The left-hand menu
The menu lists:
- Home.
- Apps: one entry per module your company uses, for example Interview, Learn, Goals, OKRs, Feedback, Skills, Work Time, Client survey, Team Survey and SWP (workforce planning, with a Beta tag).
- Company: People and, for Scoped admins and above, Settings.
Click a module name to expand it and open its first page. The sub-entries depend on your access level (see Roles and access levels). The page you are on is highlighted.
To collapse or expand the menu, click the panel icon next to the OpenAleph logo in the top bar. On large screens, hovering over this icon shows the menu temporarily. On small screens and tablets, the menu opens over the page and closes when you pick an entry.
At the bottom of the menu:
- Help & Support (question mark icon): opens a form to contact the OpenAleph team. See Troubleshooting and help.
- Api Keys (code icon, Admins and Super admins only): opens the Company developer page to manage API keys and HR sync reports. See API keys and public API.
The top bar
- Ask AlephAI: opens the Aleph AI panel on pages that support it. On other pages the button is greyed out, with the tooltip "This page doesn’t support AI yet." See Aleph AI assistant.
- Your avatar: opens a menu with your name and email and:
- Profile: opens your profile page in a new browser tab.
- Switch workspace: shown only if you can access several spaces (your company and one or more Academy spaces). See Choose a workspace.
- Logout: logs you out.
Guided tours
The first time you open some pages, a short guided tour may highlight the main elements with tooltips. Follow the steps or close the tour. Tours are not shown on the login and workspace selection screens.
Messages and confirmations
After an action, a short message appears at the bottom of the screen (for example "Password has been updated."). Some background tasks, such as an export, show a notification in the corner of the screen when they finish. When you earn a Learn badge, a notification appears with a View my badges link.
Common questions
A module I use is missing from the menu.
Either your company doesn't use this module, or your access level doesn't give you any page in it. For example SWP only appears from the Manager level. See Roles and access levels.
Why don't I see the Team Dashboard tab?
It's shown to Managers and above. If you manage people but see only Assigned to me, your access level is probably Employee: ask your admin.
I hid a section by mistake. How do I get it back?
Click the grid icon (View/hide sections) under the tabs and click the section name again.
Why is my home page empty?
Either you hid every section (use View/hide sections to show them again) or you have nothing assigned right now.
Where do I change the banner or the pinned information?
These are company settings, managed by admins in Settings › General. See Company settings.
