AI features in interviews

The Interview module offers three AI features: an AI-powered synthesis of a submitted interview, the Aleph AI chat that answers questions about all the answers of a campaign, and Translate with AI for templates. AI content is generated from answers already submitted; always review it before using it.

AI synthesis of an interview

The synthesis summarises an interview set: it reads the interviewee's, interviewer's and cross review answers and produces a structured summary with four parts:

• Summary Introduction: a short overview of the interview.
• Sentiment: a sentiment score (for example "4 (Positive)") with an explanation.
• Themes: the main themes, each with its recurrence, a summary, a quote from the answers and a tone of voice score.
• Recommendation Actions: suggested actions, each with an explanation and a priority (High, Medium...).

Section titles follow your interface language; the generated text stays in the language it was generated in.

Who can use it

• Managers and above, on an interview that is submitted and has at least one answer.
• Not on your own interview: a manager who is the interviewee cannot generate the synthesis of their own interview (unless they are also its interviewer, or its creator or co-pilot for Manager creators).
• Admins can use it on any submitted interview they can open.

Generate the synthesis

1. Open the submitted interview (from Team Interviews, or View answers in a campaign).
2. Click Ask AlephAI (sparkles button) in the top bar of the app. It is disabled when you are not allowed to generate a synthesis for this interview.
3. The Aleph AI panel opens on the right with AI-powered synthesis ("Let AI do the heavy lifting, you do the thinking."). Click Generate synthesis. The text appears after a few seconds.
4. Use the icons under the text to copy the synthesis, or to regenerate it (for example after an answer was changed).

The synthesis is saved with the interview: the next time you open the panel, it is displayed directly. Once a synthesis exists, Download pdf › PDF with synthesis exports the interview with its synthesis.

Aleph AI on a campaign

Aleph AI answers questions in natural language about all the submitted answers of a campaign, for example "What are the recurring concerns about management?" or "Which training needs come up most often?".

Who can use it

Campaign creators, co-pilots, Scoped admins (campaigns in their scope) and Admins, that is Manager creators and above with access to the campaign. It is available only on launched campaigns.

Ask a question

1. Open the campaign in Interview › Campaigns.
2. Click the sparkles icon (Aleph AI) at the top right of the campaign page, or Ask AlephAI in the top bar.
3. The panel says "Ask Aleph AI about this campaign!" and "I read the interview answers you are allowed to see and summarize what they say." Type your question in Ask Aleph AI about this campaign... and send it (arrow button or Enter).
4. The answer is displayed with its Sources: chips naming the people whose interviews it is based on. Click a source to open that interview.
5. Continue the conversation with follow-up questions. Click Clear conversation to start again.

What to know:

• Aleph AI reads only submitted interviews. Drafts in progress are not included; an unlocked interview leaves the results until it is resubmitted.
• It only uses the answers of the campaign you are on.
• Answers are attributed to named people: a 1:1 interview is not anonymous.
• Your conversation is personal: other users of the campaign don't see it.

Translate a template with AI

In the template editor, the Template translation window has a Translate with AI button on each language. See Translate a template.

Common questions

The Ask AlephAI button is greyed out on an interview.

The interview is not submitted yet, it has no answers, or you are not allowed to generate a synthesis for it (for example your own interview).

Aleph AI says it doesn't find anything.

Check that interviews of the campaign are submitted, and rephrase with the words used in the questions.
